Project Description:

Lynn Drobbin & Associates (LDA) conducted the historic resource analysis for the Northern Branch Corridor Rail Project Draft Environmental Impact Statement which evaluated both diesel multiple unit (DMU) and light rail transit (LRT) service on a former passenger rail line, now currently operating limited freight service.  The project area extended from North Bergen in Hudson County to Tenafly in Bergen County and included the construction of 10 new stations, rail yard and the rehabilitation of at least 9 of the 24 bridges and culverts on the railroad right-of-way.  LDA was responsible for the preparation of all Section 106 reports including the Project Initiation Letter, the Historic Architectural Resource Background Study and the Effects Assessment.
