Lynn Drobbin & Associates (LDA) performed the historic resource analysis for the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) for the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail Transit System (HBLRT). LDA also participated in the construction phase - the Design Build, Operate, Manage (DBOM) with 21st Century Rail. The project area extended from the Vince Lombardi Park-and-Ride in Ridgefield, Bergen County to southeastern Jersey City near the Liberty Science Center and included two branches - to West Fifth Street in Bayonne and along the former West Side Industrial Track to Route 440 in southwestern Jersey City. The LRT includes 32 stops and a yard and shop facility. The project included the Bayonne DEIS, Jersey City Supplemental DEIS and the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail System Final EIS. The historic resource analysis included a cultural resource survey in the study areas along the alignment in Hoboken, Jersey and Bayonne which included the identification of all historic resources, including bridges. Reports included a Historic Architectural Resource Background Study, a Determination of Effects Report and Historic American Engineering Record (HAER) documentation for Conrail Bridge 2.77. LDA also supervised construction and coordinated salvage efforts at several historic sites. |
